Volunteer Needs
Blue River Community ChurchBeing part of a Christian community invites more than simply showing up; it means becoming co-owners and co-creators with God and one another of the kind of communities God desires. The Kingdom is not about us. The mission of every follower of Jesus was given in Matthew 28:18-20, which tells us to go and make disciples. Serving through Blue River Community Church is a great way to connect with people and use God's gifts. Each of us has been gifted through the Holy Spirit in unique ways to serve the Church and people worldwide. You can get involved in several ways; there are opportunities for everyone and every personality. Volunteer Needs Welcome The Welcome Team is responsible for creating a comfortable, safe, and inviting environment. This team will welcome and acknowledge each attendee as they enter the building. They will connect and engage with new guests before or after service. Set-Up/Tear-Down The Set-Up/Tear-Down team will be responsible for Sunday morning setup and teardown of the worship area. Worship This team consists of instrumentalists, singers, readers, servers, and prayers that serve on Sunday morning worship. Kid’s Ministry This team is passionate about teaching children about our great God. They help teach children to know God and love their neighbor. Background checks are required for all volunteers working with children. Outreach This team is responsible for participating in community outreach and mission. From serving in community events to assisting with the community's needs as they arise, this team leads the charge as the hands and feet of God in the community. Technology The technology team is in charge of operating the technology that is a part of Sunday morning. This includes mixing sound, setting up the sound system, setting up and running the camera, and running the slides.
