What to expect

Check-In

On your child’s first visit, please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes before the service starts and head to the Blue River check-in desk. One of our volunteers will collect basic information about your family and child and enter it into our secure check-in system.

Each time your family checks in for Blue River Kids, you and your child will receive a security sticker with a matching 4-digit code, valid only for that day. We ask that your child wear this sticker visibly on clothing at all times while in a Blue River Kids classroom.

Kids will participate in worship until dismissed to meet their teacher at the back of the worship area.

Enjoy the Service

The volunteers ensure your child is well taken care of and has a great experience while in our care. However, if needed, your 4-digit code will display on the screen in service to alert you.

Pick-Up

You will be asked to show your security sticker to one of your child’s room volunteers, and they will then match the number on your child’s sticker to the number on your sticker before releasing them.

If you misplace your security sticker during service, proper identification will be required to match you and your child in our system before they are released. 

Safe and Secure

We do background checks on our volunteers and have a comprehensive registration system to ensure your children are safe and cared for. Volunteers experience policy and procedure training, receive consistent feedback and are encouraged through gospel-centered teaching.
